Like a child wanting a new toy, we all desire something. We want better relationships, advancement in a career, healing within our families and our hearts, or even forgiveness for our sins--it can be ANYTHING.
We as Christians must remember that there is nothing that GOD can’t do. Many of us are afraid of the unknown. By not knowing what’s ahead, we’re usually afraid to move forward. But instead of that, we must focus on what we do know: Christ will NEVER leave us in anything that we do and we must stand in faith by knowing that.
In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus says, “Keep on asking and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is open to everyone who knocks.”
However, you must also remember that JESUS is the way to the FATHER because the FATHER is glorified through the SON. So when we pray, we must ask in the name of Jesus.
John 14:12-14 says, “The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!”
When it comes to any situation that we go through in life, be it good or bad, we must remember to pray to GOD and ask in the name of Jesus. By praising and glorifying Christ and relying on HIM, everything will be OK.
And remember, to always pray and keep pushing!
